Details about shipping, ordering, quality etc.

This is a light weight sheer special natural silk kimono fabric called tsumugi, a type of pongee, with the natural silk not processed very much so usually has darker earthen tones;

This particular piece is quite distinctive due to its sheer nature, being slightly translucent (see below right closeup); Stripes are in subdued plum-burgundy and light mustard with black.

We estimate this as from the 1950's and it measures 14.25" wide X 1.5yds; originally used to make a summer kimono.

Condition: EXCELLENT. 100% useable. Highly distinctive Japanese textile piece is recommended for making scarf,clothing or accessory use; other creative possibilities.
