This is a 14inch X 1.5 yard (35.56cm X 1.37m) long piece of light weight deadstock cotton( new but unsold stock) from the 1970's; This was made as promotional item for a Sumo wrestler named Seki . Patterns are on both sides, slightly wave horizontal thick stripes have the sign/logo (mon) of the Sumo wrestler Seki and the phonetic ke . Color is indigo-black and off-white. This grade cotton is the sort used to make summer kimono (called a yukata); Fabric is strong, like new, no color fade and is still firm. Recommended for quilters or any variety of creative applications.
