We are offering this fabric in minimum 14 inch X 1.5 yard (35.56cm X 1.37m) long pieces of light weight deadstock cotton( new but unsold stock) from the 1960's; cotton background is white and black; motifs arerepeated zig-zag and mon-shaped patterns interlocked and repeating vertically; The characters are the Sumo wrestlers name, designs running vertically. These kinds of bolts were given out as promotional gifts to supporters of the various Sumo wrestlers. Patterns are on both sides; This is a grade cotton used to make a better grade summer kimono (called a yukata); Fabric is strong, like new, no color fade and is still quite firm. Recommended for quilters or any variety of creative applications.
