This
is a 1930s higher quality light weight deadstock meisen silk ( new but
unsold stock); Meisen is defined literally as 'common silk stuff';
meisen fabrics resemble kasuri (ikat) in the intentional blurry
look, though meisen has very colorful patterns with distinct -- often
more modern --motifs and a slight sheen. The feel of meisen silk is
quite distinctive The background field is dark purple with dark green leaves with camellia flowers (also called Japonica, Japanese Rose) in light mustard,light burgundy and silver-white. Recommended for a variety of creative applications, scarf, garment or accessory-making. Condition: EXCELLENT, Like new.
