We are offering this fabric in minimum 14 inch X 1.5 yard (35.56cm X 1.37m) long pieces of light weight deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1960's; This cotton's design is background of light pastel lavender with white designs of waves and flowers; Over that there are streams, various flowers and reeds in traditional Japanese stylized fashion; the colors used in the foreground designs are mostly purple and colonial blues with some light olive-greens(see close-ups for best rendering of colors). This is a cotton originally was intended to be used to make summer kimono (called a yukata); Fabric is strong, like new, still firm; colors have not faded; NOTE: The contrast of our pictures in left column is slightly under-exposed, so the contrast and degree of brightness shown in bottom-right pics are more representative, ie, the fabric is fairly subdued.. Recommended for quilters or any variety of creative applications.
