This is a 1960's light weight deadstock meisen silk (new but unsold stock); Meisen is defined literally as 'common silk stuff'; and has grown in popularity in the last few years. The blurred (intentionally) patterns shown are meant to evoke a classic kasuri weave look; Also, this meisen lacks the slight sheen seen on earlier meisen. The background
fabric is dark purple (almost plum) and designs are red pinstripes running
length-wise with silver designs (as shown in close-ups) symmetrically
spaced length-wise. Condition: EXCELLENT, Like new.
