As of Feb. 8, 2010 United Parcel Service (UPS ) is no longer our default shipper for bulk kimono packages. Now, if customer selects UPS we will add the cost difference between US Postal Service and UPS cost, including any UPS service charges for rural or residential deliveries. CONTENT:
Packages are comprised of: Majority
are vintage silk
& silk blends with minority of synthetic (mock-silk) blends kimonos
&
fabrics*, Mixed (grades 1-3) by-the-pound (10lb Minimum).
We offer a package of 10lbs and up in 1 pound increments above that, all assorted as described here.

SORTING DETAILS:
These are all worn/used/old recycled Japanese garments, sold by the
pound, and are meant for cutting, artwork,
design, crafts etc. and mostly not for wear, though very often are
used for casual wear ; Each order contains a mix of:

QUALITY & CONDITION:
Conditions vary from excellent to fair. We do not send 'rag' quality
soiled kimono(s).
As vintage garments, many of our by-pound kimonos will have some
stains & imperfections.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE:
Depending
on demand, most of the year we can ship in 3-5 business days from
confirmed/paid order receipt. We post exceptions to this in our
Blog.
Note that upon ordering via our web site that you get, rather
instantaneously, a confirmation email with details about order
fulfillment etc. When we are in the office we send a personalized
email within 24 hours which gives our present shipping schedule
and when you can expect to get your order.

5. BY-POUND COUNTS:
This is a BY-POUND product, not based on piece-count. However, for general information, the count of kimono per 20lbs varies: silks average at least 12-18 kimonos per 20lbs, 7-10 kimonos per 10lbs. We do not guarantee count, as this is a by-pound product, but these estimations give a good idea of what you get in a typical order.
