DESCRIPTION: There is
an exceptional amount of metallic gold brocade but
it is not the overly shining type gold; full amount of brushed
gold look interwoven as well; Motifs are replete
with flower cart, chrysanthemums, iris, wisteria, peonies, maple
leaves, Chinese bellflowers and stylized golden clouds and a
fullness of embroidery -- there is basically no unadorned background
field. This fabric is a gradation style background (bokashi) with colors gradually transitioning down the gown; Primary background is shuiro (orange-red) with bokashi to softened deep blacks near the bottom; a visual feast. The quality of this kimono -- both the amount and quality of the workmanship and composition -- is again remarkable.the sewing at all joining seams, front, back & sides appears almost seamless-- motifs remain unbroken as you look from front to back, torso to sleeves -- almost like a painting on a single cloth canvas; Breathtaking when seen in person.Another especially fine selection we are proud to offer at a price unheard of for this level gown. This was made between 1990 to present.OUTSTANDING CONDITION (NO STAINS,ETC) Full silk liner is shuiro (orange-red) To see many close-ups of this kimono we have a photo album of 38 pictures of this kimono which can be seen HERE .
