Fabric Description: Lightweight chirimen (crepe) silk derived from nagajuban (under kimono); This is a 1960s fabric piece with a background of peachy-pink color and designs on one side done in charcoal-black to light black, the look is evocative of sumi-e (Japanese brush calligraphy, and brush art style); also some areas in dark peach and mustard color;   Designs are only on the bottom 21 inches / 53.34cm of vines and thin branches with leaves and a large flower about 6 inches/ 15.24cm, on one side only; soft with the textured feel of the chirimen, slight drape.
