Fabric Description Details:

This type of chirimen silk was derived from a nagajuban (under-kimono) for women, it is very lightweight, soft, and translucent, the chirimen texture is slight; the background color is pink with interwoven classic designs throughout, including streams, ponds, clouds, maple leaves, other leaves; These interwoven designs are mostly apparent in the solid background spaces; the foreground motifs consist of very large red flowers (largest is around 8inches diameter), with plum blossoms and bamboo leaves afloat throughout; most of the smaller blossoms are red, some are aqua-blue, white, green, and yellow; Some larger flowers have fine-lined centers in mustard-yellow; design is on one side only, slight sheen.
