- Fabric History/Pedigree: 1950s or earlier silk fabric pieces unused, deadstock from a previous era.
- Fabric Description: This is good quality silk, not translucent, dark purple color and light-medium weight, most probably for use in making a higher-end nagajuban (Under kimono, for wear with a formal kimono); The fabric is replete with interwoven floral patterns throughout, chrysanthemums, peonies, and others; patterns are the same on both sides; sheen is strong in the spaces where there are the interwoven designs.
