Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's under-kimono (nagajuban) silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:  Lightweight & slightly translucent silk; color is gradation dyed light salmon color to dark pink throughout; fabric has noted sheen, soft and good drape. The designs of the classic Japanese geometric and floral elements run in parallel (weft) bands, size 1 inch / 2.54cm deep or larger; coloration is interesting in that it shifts noticeably in different lighting; notable sheen and somewhat soft fabric.

Recommended for making scarf or accessories.
