Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Lightweight silk, minimally translucent for a woman's kimono with a mustard-yellow color background with complex, even fractal-like patterns filling the field with dark moss color, indigo-blue, several earth tones of browns, darker burgundy reds etc:  Motifs are hard to describe: There are all manners of plants, trees, flora, as well as cloud-shapes and geometrics, mostly diamond rhombic figures; everything has a fractal look to it ; Other designs are stylized vines, flowers or something -- sort of a Rorschach as to labeling the motifs; Note the very tiny pixelated mesh patterns throughout the entire fabric; Intended for one side only; no sheen and minimal drape; slight textured to the touch.

NOTE: Suitable for making scarfs or accessories

Colors:  Reminder that colors differ on different monitors and devices; please use our text color descriptions in your consideration.
