Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces derived from deadstock 1990's kimono silk roll.

Fabric Description: This is medium-weight silk for use in making a formal kimono, with no translucence; the fabric background is in gradation pink to lavenders background with interwoven and some brocade glitter (metallic gold color) stitches in many places; Motif is abundantly filled with flowers of many types, as well as pairs of birds (applique or embroidered) thin golden glitter accents on the pairs of birds; There are some modernistic speckled effects and similar looks to evoke stylized clouds, ponds, streams, & water with leaves and flowers, also, plum blossoms on branches; orange-red peonies at the center of one imperial flower cart grouping; wider range of colors, mostly pastels favoring lavenders dark and light, aqua-greens (light to dark)several shades of white and sliver whites heavier silk does not wrinkle as easily but has little drape;
