Item Details and Description

Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s  pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used); 

Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric designed for use in making woman's silk kimono; interesting *bokashi-like (gradation dyeing) fabric  with shine speckles/lines in places; overall sheen; In background the Bokashi is in varying hues of pale light orange to light ambers, yellow, from almost-white to butter-yellow, to light golden yellow;  foreground/prominent dogwood blossoms are in darker orange colors (still gradation coloring); Light-medium weight Japanese silk, slightly textured to touch in places due to interwoven patterns, slight drape;
