Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces derived from deadstock 1990's under-kimono (nagajuban) silk roll.
Fabric Description: This is lightweight silk originally for use in making an under-kimono (nagajuban); the fabric is a gradation mix of soft pale pink, pale green, and pale yellow background -- colors are in subtle gradations; the design motif is stylized larger-scale winterberry plants and Camellia flowers; also, softly undulating bands run lengthwise(vertically)-- all in all, this is a most distinctive motif; the fabric is smooth to the touch and has a sheen.
Recommended for making scarves/accessories.
