Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: This lightweight summer kimono silk  has a mauve background with a gradation from light pastel pinks to light and then darker mauve in the flowers; the motif in the foreground is a very distinctive rendering of what we believe are  Cow Parsley plant/flowers; the fabric has an overall feel of batik(but is not the batik process); fabric is slightly textured, but not quite a full chirimen crepe; motif designs on both sides; please view close-ups; 

Recommended for making scarf/accessories.
