Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's kimono silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:  Lightweight & minimally translucent silk; peach-pink color consistent throughout, entire fabric is interwoven with small elements (1/2 inch / 12.7mm), the 3-arcs look of a classic symbol of pine trees; this gives the fabric a speckled look from a distance; The white stream runs about 12 inches / 30.48cm lengthwise; inside the white field are some stylized pastel colored flowers;  please see our last image of closeup pine trees elements; We feel this is a  classic komon array of many small-scale items filling the fabric; fabric has noted sheen, soft and good drape.

Recommended for making scarf or accessories.

Colors: Please consider our text descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric, as colors and contrast differ on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
